Reaction to Yesterday is History

Ⅰ. Summary

The poem I chose to summarize and react to is Yesterday is History by Emily Dickinson. The type of this poem seems to lyric poetry because this poet declares yesterday is history and mystery, and where it is today in this poem.
     私が要約し、反応することを選んだ詩はエミリー・ディキンソンによって書かれています。この詩で作者は、昨日は過去のことであり、謎であると詠っていて、また今日はどこにあるのだろうと詠ったもので、この詩の種類は叙情詩であると思われます。

Ⅱ.　Reaction

1. Rhythm
"Yesterday"word is used repeatedly in this poem. This can emphasize "Yesterday" word. We thought-provoking about it.
     この詩ではYesterdayという言葉が繰り返されて使われています。そうすることで、Yesterdayという言葉を強調することができ、私たちはそれについて考えさせられます。

2. Point of view
Every word is very deep meaning because this poem declares yesterday is history and philosophy.
     この詩では、昨日は過去のことであり、哲学的であると詠っていて、一つ一つの言葉がとても意味の深いものになっています。

3. Connotation
This poem represents "Tis" and the word "This". This poet conveys poet' feelings to readers because this poem uses a contracted form of "This"
       この詩では、"This" という言葉を "Tis" と表されています。あまり使う機会のない短縮形を使うことによって、作者の思いが込められており、作者の心情が読み手に伝わりやすくなります。

4. General Opinion
This poem is short but very deep poem. I think that thought-provoking about many things. And I think spend cherish each day.
      この詩は、とても短い詩ですが、とても奥が深い詩で、色々なことを考えさせられる詩だなと思いました。また、一日一日を大切に過ごしていきたいなと思いました。
